Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment

A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment is performed using the outline and guidelines provided in ASTM E 1527-05:  "Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments: Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Process."  This standard practice is consistent and compliant with the “all appropriate inquiry” rule of the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency.

The methods used include visual reconnaissance of the subject property and nearby properties to note whether any sources of obvious contamination and/or obvious effects of contamination are observed to exist.  The methods also include review of site histories, third-party information, documents of record, and interviews.

Based on available information, an evaluation is made regarding the probability of the presence of environmental conditions that might affect the property.
